Analysis of Threats to the Security of the State Border that Affect the Activities of Information and Statistical Support for Operational and Service Activities of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
Abstract
Purpose. To conduct a comprehensive analysis of current threats to the security of the State Border of Ukraine and to determine their impact on the effectiveness of information and statistical support for the operational and service activities of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Method. The study applies an analytical method using a comparative analysis of statistical indicators for 2024–2025, generalization of official reporting data of the SBGSU, elements of a systems approach, and situational forecasting.
Findings. The study identifies the persistence and transformation of threats (military, migration-related, smuggling, and information threats), increased intensity of shelling, drug trafficking, and illegal movement of weapons and goods. It substantiates the necessity of forming a unified information picture and improving the scientific and methodological framework of information and statistical support.
Theoretical Implications. The research expands the understanding of the interrelation between the security environment of the border area and the functioning of information-analytical management systems, outlining approaches to their systematization.
Originality/Value. The originality lies in combining statistical analysis of operational results with security forecasting, focusing on the institutional development of information support of the SBGSU under wartime conditions.
Future research. Further studies should develop a formalized model of information and statistical support for operational and service activities, introduce digital data integration tools, and apply quantitative methods to assess managerial effectiveness.
