Assessing the Critical Interrelationships Between Military and Economic Security in the National Security System
Abstract
Purpose: is the development and scientific substantiation of a modern methodological approach to assessing the level of economic and military-economic security of Ukraine in the context of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, taking into account the transformation of the economy in wartime, changes in the structure of threats, the impact of the destruction of critical infrastructure, budget militarization, external financial dependence, and the needs of the defense-industrial complex.
Method: Methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, deduction and induction, as well as methods of expert interviewing.
Findings: An analysis of the variability of views on the constituent elements of the state's economic security in the national security system was conducted, as well as a comparison of the results of the mathematical methods used in approaches to calculating the level of military-economic security of Ukraine was conducted, the peculiarities of the views of experts on the final separation of its components were determined, the coefficients of importance of each component in the aggregate were calculated in accordance with the needs of the present, which forms the possibility of highlighting the military-economic component as an element of economic security at the legislative level.
Theoretical implications: The materials of the article may be useful and important for a wide range of specialists involved in security, defense planning, strategic analysis, and public administration.
