The Global South as a Mega Subject of the New World Order
Abstract
Purpose: identifying the main geopolitical features of the new world order, in particular, the emergence of a new entity – the Global South.
Method: comparison methods, classification, real time.
Findings: It examines the changes in the geopolitical and geoeconomic landscape following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. The article outlines the trends in the formation of a new security environment and the processes influencing its transformation. It demonstrates that the so-called Global South has, in recent years, become a relevant factor in contemporary geopolitical processes.
Theoretical implications: The current geopolitical situation compels Ukraine to develop foreign policy decisions aligned with its national interests, and with its geopolitical and geostrategic position within both the regional and global international systems.
