Adaptation of fuel and lubricant logistics in modern warfare: experience and prospects for Ukraine

Abstract

Purpose: is to develop recommendations for enhancing supply efficiency, minimizing logistical risks, and implementing innovative solutions.

Method: analysis and synthesis.

Research results: the study revealed that effective POL logistics depends on supply system decentralization, the use of mobile refueling units, and the implementation of digital monitoring and demand forecasting systems. An adaptive logistics model for the Ukrainian military was proposed to enhance resilience and reduce fuel delivery times.

Theoretical implications: the work expands existing military logistics theories by integrating innovative technologies and proposes new approaches to POL inventory management in dynamic combat conditions.

Practical implications: the proposed solutions can be applied by Ukrainian military logistics units to optimize supply chains and improve combat mission effectiveness.

Originality / Value: this article introduces a unique adaptive POL logistics model tailored to modern warfare, considering national and international specifics with the application of digital and autonomous solutions.

Research limitations / Future research: the study is limited by the availability of current military regulations. Future research may focus on implementing artificial intelligence for demand forecasting and exploring alternative energy sources.
