Methodology for compiling temporary artillery range (firing) tables for foreign-made mortar rounds in limited conditions during a large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation

Abstract

Purpose: implementation of the methodology of assessing the ballistic characteristics (tests, test firings) of foreign-made mortar shots for the compilation of abbreviated temporary firing tables for mortars of different manufacturers based on the results of test firings at the artillery directorate.

Method: system analysis, mathematical statistics.

Findings: based on the results of practical shootings according to the methodology for determining the assessment of ballistic characteristics of mortar shots on the created ballistic track, accurate, detailed data were obtained, which are given above, with the help of which the firing tables were calculated.

Theoretical implications (if applicable): The theoretical value of the research is due to the fact that the creation of modern artillery systems (means of fire damage), the development of improvements (modernization) of existing ammunition, the compilation of appropriate firing tables requires practical firing, the methodology of which is described in this article.
