The methodical approach to assessing the military-strategic situation within the framework of preventing military conflicts and strengthening the military security of the state

Keywords: multi-domain operations, military-strategic analysis, military-strategic situation, military security

Abstract

Purpose: consists in the development of a methodical approach for assessing the military-strategic situation in the region around Ukraine, as well as for the well-founded search for effective directions for the prevention and settlement of conflicts and strengthening the military security of Ukraine.

Method: an approach based on the methods of comparative and inverse analysis, principal components and expert evaluation is used.

Practical implications: a system of indicators for assessing the military-strategic situation is proposed, which allows determining the degree of stability in military relations between states by comparing the state of the armed forces, as well as the size of military expenditures and the intensity of their increase. The developed methodical approach allows timely determination of a possible escalation in interstate relations.

Future research: further research should be directed to the analysis of the conduct of hostilities in a multi-domain operational environment with the use of various high-precision weapon systems, the use of robotic and unmanned means of armed conflict. It is also advisable to focus on developing the capabilities of one's own armed forces and finding mechanisms to counteract "actions of a hybrid nature" on the part of the russian federation, as well as creating a technological advantage over an enemy that has greater military potential.

Paper type: theoretical, practical.
