The methodology for determining the need to equip the armed forces with unmanned systems
Abstract
Purpose: to develop a methodology for determining the need to equip the armed forces with unmanned systems to perform tasks on land, in the air and at sea.
Method: analytical method, mathematical modeling.
Findings: the article develops a methodology for determining the need for unmanned systems to be used on land, in the air, and at sea, the methodology makes it possible to determine the need for unmanned systems for reconnaissance, striking enemy targets, and for logistics and support of troops (forces), taking into account the scope of tasks assigned to the relevant levels of the military hierarchy.
Theoretical implications: the analytical method made it possible to determine the effectiveness of the use of unmanned systems, and the method of mathematical modeling is considered as a source of information about the process in which the methods of probability theory are the main means of processing the results of a mathematical model to determine the need for unmanned systems.
Practical implications: the developed methodology for determining the need for unmanned systems makes it possible to determine the need for unmanned systems for the timely provision of relevant units (military units).
Originality/Value: of the study: the value of the study is to determine the need for unmanned systems, which will allow the operational level of management to provide a timely tactical level of management and the strategic level to plan timely procurement of relevant systems to replenish them at the operational level.
Research limitations/Future research: the limitation of the study is that the model of designing the organizational and staffing structure of unmanned systems units is not taken into account.
Paper type: scientific and theoretical.
