Design thinking as a tool for transforming approaches to leadership development in the social sphere
Abstract
Purpose: research of leadership transformation through the prism of design thinking and development of innovative approaches to crisis management and recovery in the social sphere of Ukraine.
Method: a comprehensive approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods, including document and scientific literature analysis, statistical analysis, case studies, secondary analysis of existing research, content analysis, comparative analysis, systems analysis, and synthesis method.
Practical implications: development of a model for integrating design thinking principles into leadership practices in the social sector for effective crisis management, providing recommendations for implementing innovative approaches to social service delivery in wartime conditions, identifying effective strategies for adapting leadership practices to wartime challenges, and creating a foundation for developing training programs for social sector leaders focused on using design thinking in crisis management.
Value: expanding the theoretical understanding of the role of design thinking in leadership transformation during crisis, filling gaps in research on adapting leadership practices and innovative approaches to management in wartime conditions, contributing to the development of methodology for integrating design thinking into crisis management processes and post-war recovery, and creating a foundation for further research in transformational leadership and innovation in the social sector during crises.
